Amanda O’Leary is the Program Lead for the CEE Express Desk at IEEE, where she spearheads efforts to streamline and enhance the venue sourcing experience across the organization. Since joining IEEE in February 2025, Amanda has launched the Express Desk program, introducing standardized sourcing processes, RFP protocols, and performance tracking. The program has already supported 23 sourcing requests from groups such as PES, WIE, MGA, and IEEE USA, delivering tangible value and improved efficiency.

Amanda brings over 25 years of experience in the meetings and events industry, with deep expertise in venue sourcing, contract negotiation, strategic planning, and supplier relationship management. Prior to IEEE, she served as Head of US Venue Sourcing Emota/Ashfield Meetings & Events, where she led high-performing teams, streamlined operations, and consistently delivered client value.

Known for her ability to align event strategy with organizational goals, Amanda is passionate about “solving the puzzle” of finding the right venue for every meeting. She is also driving innovation at IEEE with the upcoming launch of a Quick Bookings pathway for small, fast-turnaround events.

Outside of work, Amanda serves as President of her son’s elementary school PTO and enjoys outdoor activities like swimming, hiking, biking, and relaxing at the beach. A dedicated traveler, she has explored six of the seven continents with favorite cities including Cape Town, Lima, and Rome.
